We love the work being done by artists and activists in our community to support Black Lives Matter and to fight against systemic racism. It has been beautiful to see these murals and artistic statements of hope, unity and anti-racism appear on businesses in downtown Greensboro.
Emma, the 17-year-old daughter of our chief operating officer, Peggy Walters, was one of the young artists who helped work on these murals, along with two of her friends. It was a very meaningful experience for these young women.
You can read more about the artists’ efforts and see some of the murals and messages of hope and healing in these photos and in this article from the News & Record.
