Deuterman Law Group Opens Wilmington Office To Expand Its Veterans Disability Practice
The Deuterman Law Group has opened a new office in Wilmington to serve its growing client base in Eastern North Carolina.
The Deuterman Law Group is an injury law firm, focusing on Compensación Laboral; Discapacidad de Seguro Social; Discapacidad de Veteranos; and Auto, Truck and Motorcycle Accident cases. Headquartered in Greensboro, the law firm also has offices in Winston-Salem, Durham and Greenville, N.C.
The new office on Front Street is anchored by Veterans Disability attorneys Andrea Smaxwell and Shawn Ferguson. The pair focuses on VA Disability cases, but Deuterman Law will also continue to handle Workers’ Compensation; Social Security Disability; and Auto, Truck and Motorcycle Accident cases through the Wilmington location.
“Over the past 21 years, Deuterman Law has grown into one of North Carolina’s leading and most trusted injury law firms,” said firm founder and president Dan Deuterman. “We have clients throughout the state, not just in the Triad. Having a physical location and attorneys based in the Wilmington area allows us to better serve our clients there and to be more involved in the local community.”
Veterans comprise a significant portion of the population in Wilmington and the surrounding areas, thanks to the region’s rich military history. That was one of the key reasons the law firm chose the market to expand its VA Disability practice.
Community investment and involvement are important corporate values at the Deuterman Law Group. The firm is committed to giving back and being involved in the communities where it has offices. The staff often volunteers together at local organizations and events. Employees are encouraged to volunteer in their local communities, and they are given time off to do so. “Being involved and engaged in the local community is part of who we are as a company,” Marketing Director Brandon Hillis said. “When we move into a market, we actually want to have a presence there. We don’t want to drive-by serve our clients. We want to be invested in these cities and towns. We want people to see our faces at community events and volunteering with local organizations.”
