He guides them through the complicated workers\u2019 compensation system and passionately argues in their best interests when they have often been wronged by the system that is supposed to protect them.<\/p>\n\n\n\t\t\t<div class=\"badges\">\n\t\t\t\t\t        <figure><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"300\" height=\"261\" src=\"https:\/\/deutermanlaw.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/05\/workers-comp-law-1-300x261.png\" class=\"attachment-medium size-medium\" alt=\"workers comp law 1\" srcset=\"https:\/\/deutermanlaw.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/05\/workers-comp-law-1-300x261.png 300w, https:\/\/deutermanlaw.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/05\/workers-comp-law-1-1024x890.png 1024w, https:\/\/deutermanlaw.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/05\/workers-comp-law-1-768x668.png 768w, https:\/\/deutermanlaw.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/05\/workers-comp-law-1-14x12.png 14w, https:\/\/deutermanlaw.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/05\/workers-comp-law-1.png 1224w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" title=\"\"><\/figure>\t\t    \t\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\n\n\n<p>Jack joined the Deuterman Law Group in 2016 as an associate attorney in&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/deutermanlaw.com\/practice-areas\/workers-comp\/\" data-type=\"page\" data-id=\"3853\">workers\u2019 compensation<\/a>, after graduating law school and working numerous summer associates positions in Alabama where he gained experience in wrongful death, personal injury, insurance defense, and corporate litigation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He is actively involved in a number of professional development groups, including the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ncbar.org\/\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/www.ncbar.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">N.C. Bar Association<\/a> and the N.C. Advocates for Justice (NCAJ). Jack is currently the Secretary for the North Carolina Bar Association Worker\u2019s Compensation Section.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Jack has litigated and won cases at all levels of the N.C. Industrial Commission and the N.C. Court of Appeals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Originally from Basingstoke, England, Jack leveraged his talent as a tennis player to come to the United States on a tennis scholarship at N.C. Central University. After undergrad, Jack attended the University of Alabama School of Law. He worked as a research assistant for several professors, served as articles editor for&nbsp;<em>The Journal of the Legal Profession<\/em>, and volunteered at Raise the Bar, a sixth grade mentoring program in Alabama.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Jack was admitted to the N.C. State Bar in 2016. At the Deuterman Law Group, he handles workers\u2019 compensation cases out of both the Greensboro and Winston-Salem offices.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Jack and his wife, Kayla, live in Greensboro with their two young sons and two dogs. In his free time, Jack enjoys playing golf, tennis, soccer, and volunteering as a coach for his son\u2019s soccer team.
