Meet Michelle, Our Senior Personal Injury Attorney

Senior Attorney Profile: Michelle Cybulski
Interviewer: Hey, Michelle. Tell me what your position is here at Deuterman Law Group.
Michelle Cybulski: Yeah, I am the Senior Personal Injury Attorney.
Interviewer: And how long have you been here?
Michelle Cybulski: Well, I started clerking as a law clerk in 2007, and then when I became an attorney in 2009, I was hired on. So I’ve been here 16 years.
Interviewer: What did you do before you became an attorney?
Michelle Cybulski: Ah, well, I worked at the Center for Creative Leadership. It’s a nonprofit organization, and it works with companies to help develop leadership skills in their employees. And I was out there for a long time before I decided to go to law school in 2006, and I was part of Elon Law’s charter class.
Interviewer: So tell me a little more about being a personal injury attorney here.
Michelle Cybulski: Yeah, so being a personal injury attorney, you cover a wide variety of case types. So we handle everything from wrongful death cases, tractor trailer cases, car crashes, you might’ve heard of, trip and falls or slip and falls—those are called premises liability cases. We handle nursing home neglect, we handle some medical malpractice, but I’ve handled cases as interesting as a carbon monoxide poisoning all the way to unfortunately drowning cases. So it’s a wide variety of cases that you have to handle as a personal injury attorney.
Interviewer: Well, tell me one thing that you love about working here at Deuterman Law.
Michelle Cybulski: So, in the whole time that I’ve been a part of Deuterman Law Group, I’ve been really impressed with the way they show their commitment to the community. One of the things in particular that I like are some of the projects we do such as Out of the Garden Project, but also the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. We do a fundraiser for them. We also have multiple events, one being a silent auction, which is a lot of fun, and that’s something I look forward to every year.
