If you’re in an accident where the other driver has a low policy limit, you could end up with hefty expenses. The most important thing to have is underinsured motorist coverage, because this kicks in if you’re in an accident and the outfall driver has no policy limits and there’s not enough to cover your medical bills, then you have that coverage to step in and do that for you. And having that coverage for me personally just gives me a peace of mind when I’m on the road that I’m going to be okay.
