Veteran and Attorney Robert Retic Earns VA Accreditation
Deuterman Law Group attorney Robert Retic has earned his Department of Veterans Affairs accreditation to represent disabled veterans and their families in their disability benefits claims.
To become accredited, attorneys must complete training with the VA to learn how to prepare and present claims for their clients, and they also must pass a federal background check. The accreditation process can take months to complete, with the goal of ensuring that veterans receive appropriate representation on their VA benefits claims.
Attorneys also must complete continuing legal education every year to maintain their VA accreditation.
Retic, who joined the Deuterman Law Group in 2025, is himself a disabled Navy veteran who served for five years before medically retiring in 2017 at the rank of Petty Officer Second Class (E-5). Retic graduated from Elon University School of Law in 2024 and was admitted to the N.C. State Bar and the U.S. Court of Appeals for Veterans Claims the following year.
Retic has committed his career to advocating for other veterans to ensure they receive the full range of medical care and disability benefits they earned through their military service. His goal is to be a champion for those who put their lives on the line daily to protect our country.
Retic is a member of the N.C. Bar Association, the North Carolina Advocates for Justice (NCAJ) and the National Organization of Veterans’ Advocates (NOVA).
